bye.fun: Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how bye.fun ("we", "us") handles information when you use the bye.fun interface. bye.fun is a non-custodial decentralized application. It is designed to minimize the personal data we collect. Most of what happens on bye.fun occurs on the public Solana blockchain, which we neither control nor can alter.

We do not collect or ask for: your name, email, phone number, physical address, government ID, or private keys / seed phrases. bye.fun does not require account creation with personal credentials, and we never have custody of your wallet.

When you connect a wallet, we process your public wallet address and read publicly available on-chain data associated with it (for example, eligible cards, balances, deposits, rolls, points, and referral relationships). This information is inherently public on the blockchain.

Your interactions with bye.fun, including deposits, rolls, buybacks, settlements, and referral links, are recorded on the public Solana blockchain. Blockchain records are permanent, public, and cannot be changed or deleted by us or anyone.

If you claim a bye.fun username, we store it (in lowercase) and its association with your wallet address to enable referral links and display names. Do not use a username that reveals your real identity if you wish to remain pseudonymous.

We record referral relationships (who referred whom) to compute referral points and enforce anti-abuse rules.

Like most web interfaces, we or our service providers may automatically collect limited technical data, such as IP address, browser and device type, and basic interaction logs, for security, fraud prevention, performance, and to enforce geographic restrictions. IP address may be used to determine approximate location for eligibility and compliance purposes.

We may use cookies or local storage to remember your wallet connection and preferences and to operate the interface. You can control cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work without them.

We use the information above to: operate and display the interface; compute points, seasons, and referral rewards; run randomized draws and settlement; detect and prevent fraud, sybil activity, and abuse; enforce eligibility and geographic restrictions; maintain security; and comply with applicable law.

We do not sell your personal information.

Where required (for example under the GDPR), our processing is based on your consent (connecting your wallet), our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, operating the service), and legal obligations. Note that on-chain data is public by design; associating a wallet address with activity does not require us to identify you, and we generally cannot.

We rely on third-party infrastructure that may process technical data on our behalf or under their own policies, including: the Solana network and RPC providers; wallet providers (e.g. Phantom, Solflare); randomness oracles (MagicBlock VRF); card-tokenization platforms (Collector Crypt, Phygitals); analytics and hosting providers; and token-launch partners. Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies. If bye.fun is listed on a dApp store, that store may also collect data under its own policy.

Off-chain data (such as usernames, referral mappings, and logs) is retained for as long as needed to operate the Protocol, enforce rules, and meet legal obligations. On-chain data is permanent and outside our control.

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights for off-chain data we control, contact us at hello@bye.fun. We cannot alter or delete on-chain data, as the blockchain is immutable and public.

bye.fun is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly process data from children. If you believe a minor has used bye.fun, contact us.

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect off-chain data. However, no system is fully secure, and you are responsible for the security of your own wallet and keys. We never ask for your seed phrase or private keys; anyone who does is attempting to defraud you.

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be posted in the interface with an updated "Last updated" date.
